Earth System Science

The Earth System Science is dedicated to examining the Earth in terms of an overall system comprised of various spheres such as the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, biosphere, and cryosphere, among others. This is a science that deals with the processes that make up Earth and determine its environmental characteristics. Some of the topics studied under Earth System Science include climate systems, geologic processes, water cycle, ecosystem interactions, natural disasters, and global environmental change. This science also studies the influence that humans exert on the Earth's systems and the impacts of those influences on the environment. This science enhances our understanding of the workings of the Earth and its various processes and connections.
