Peer Review Process

Colloquys Journals is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous and transparent peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo single-blind peer review, in which the identities of reviewers remain confidential while reviewers are aware of the authors' identities.

Peer review ensures the scientific integrity, originality, and quality of published research and helps transform submitted manuscripts into reliable scholarly publications.

Manuscript Evaluation Process

After submission, manuscripts undergo the following stages:

1. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial office evaluates the manuscript to ensure it:

  • Fits within the journal’s scope
  • Meets basic formatting and ethical requirements
  • Demonstrates sufficient scientific quality for review

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected before external review.

2. Reviewer Assignment

Suitable reviewers are selected based on:

  • Subject expertise
  • Publication record
  • Author recommendations
  • Bibliographic databases and reviewer networks

Typically, two or more independent reviewers are invited to evaluate each manuscript.

  • Relevance and significance of the research
  • Methodological soundness
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Validity of conclusions

Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations to assist editors in making an informed decision.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer feedback and editorial evaluation, the editor may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor revision
  • Major revision
  • Reject

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor, considering reviewer recommendations and journal standards.
