Scholarly publications play a vital role in advancing academic knowledge within different disciplines. Colloquys journals encourage authors to present their research clearly, accurately, and ethically. Proper scientific reporting, transparency in methodology, and responsible communication of findings are fundamental principles in academic publishing.

General Guidelines

  • Authors should carefully review the journal’s subject areas and scope to determine the most appropriate journal for their manuscript.
  • Colloquys functions as an open-access publisher and operates independently of governmental funding. Publication fees help support editorial management, peer review, and article dissemination.
  • Article processing charges may apply depending on editing requirements, layout preparation, and author revisions. Galley proofs will be sent to the corresponding author in PDF format for review and approval.
  • Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one journal.
  • If research builds upon earlier work, authors must avoid copying previously published text and should properly cite earlier studies.
  • All submitted content, including text, data, and images, must be original. Any material obtained from other sources must be correctly cited and acknowledged.
  • Authors must obtain written permission when reproducing copyrighted content.
  • Only individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the research should be listed as authors.
  • All contributors who assisted in the study should be properly acknowledged.
  • Authors should be prepared to provide supporting data or additional information if requested during the review process.
  • Research results must be reported accurately and presented in a professional manner.
  • All authors share responsibility for the integrity and reliability of the submitted work.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
  • Research involving humans or animals must receive approval from an appropriate ethics committee.
  • When human participants are involved, informed consent must be obtained before conducting the research.

Article Categories

Colloquys journals publish several types of scholarly contributions, including the following categories:

Research Article

Research articles present original findings from experimental or theoretical investigations. These manuscripts typically include sections describing the methodology, results, analysis, and conclusions. Tables, charts, and graphical illustrations may also be included. The recommended length is approximately 2500–9500 words, and all manuscripts must include a Conflict of Interest declaration.

Review Articles

Review articles summarize and evaluate existing research on a specific topic. Rather than presenting new experimental results, they analyze previously published work to highlight developments and identify future research directions. The suggested length is between 1500–6000 words.

Review articles should discuss:

  • Recent scientific developments and breakthroughs
  • Areas where further research is needed
  • Current academic discussions and debates
  • Potential directions for future investigation

Case Reports

Case reports provide detailed descriptions of unique clinical or research cases that contribute valuable insights to professional practice. They usually include patient background, diagnosis, treatment methods, and outcomes. Typical length ranges from 1000–2000 words.

Commentaries/Perspectives

Perspective or commentary articles provide thoughtful insights or opinions about a particular research topic. These articles may discuss emerging issues, interpret recent findings, or present scholarly viewpoints. Recommended length is between 1000–1800 words.

Editorials

Editorials are typically written by experienced scholars or invited experts who provide commentary on important developments or emerging trends within a discipline. These concise articles generally range from 900–1200 words.

Letters to the Editors

Letters to the editor allow readers to comment on previously published articles, share academic opinions, or contribute additional insights. These communications usually range between 500–1000 words.

Disputes

Any allegations related to research misconduct, plagiarism, or copyright violations will be investigated thoroughly. If violations are confirmed, the Editor-in-Chief may take appropriate actions, including manuscript rejection or further disciplinary measures.

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word and formatted with double spacing in 12-point Times New Roman font. Tables, figure legends, and references should be included within the document. Margins of 1 inch (2.54 cm) must be applied on all sides to maintain consistent formatting.

Covering Letter

A signed cover letter must accompany each submission. The corresponding author should confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal. The letter must also state that all authors approve the submission and that the research complies with relevant ethical and legal standards.

Title Page

The title page should contain the following information:

  • Running Head: A shortened version of the manuscript title, limited to 50 characters.
  • Full Title: A clear and descriptive title that accurately reflects the research topic.
  • Author Information: Full names, institutional affiliations, and contact details of the corresponding author.
  • Contributors: List all authors and their institutional affiliations using superscript numbering where necessary.

Subsequent pages should follow a structured format with clearly labeled headings. All pages must be numbered consecutively.

Manuscript Structure

Abstract and Keywords

An abstract of up to 500 words should summarize the purpose, methodology, major findings, and conclusions of the research. At least five keywords should follow the abstract.

Introduction

The introduction should explain the background of the research, highlight relevant literature, and clearly define the objectives or hypotheses of the study.

Materials and Methods

Provide detailed descriptions of the study design, data collection procedures, and analytical methods to ensure reproducibility.

Results

Present the main findings clearly and objectively, supported by tables, figures, or statistical data where appropriate.

Discussion and Analysis

Interpret the findings by comparing them with existing research and explaining their significance within the broader field.

Tables, Figures, Graphs and Diagrams

All tables and figures must include clear titles or captions. Images should be submitted in high resolution, and graphical data should be provided in editable formats when possible.

Conclusion

Summarize the key outcomes of the study and emphasize their importance within the research area.

Limitations & Recommendations for Future Studies

Authors should acknowledge limitations in their research and suggest possible directions for further investigation.

References

All sources cited within the manuscript must be properly referenced according to the Chicago citation style.

Additional Requirements

Acknowledgements

Authors should acknowledge individuals, institutions, or organizations that provided assistance, funding, or other support during the research process.

Conflict of Interest

All authors must disclose any financial or professional relationships that could influence the interpretation of the research results.
