Professor Ali Mohammadzadeh is a Tenured Professor and Head of the LiDAR Laboratory at K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil-Surveying Engineering (2009) and has an H‑index of 29 with over 75 journal publications. His research centers on Artificial Intelligence (Fuzzy Logic, ANNs, and Deep Learning) for remote sensing, alongside extensive work in LiDAR technology across terrestrial, mobile, UAV, aerial, and satellite platforms. He applies advanced image processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning to multi-source optical, thermal, and multispectral data, with strong interests in remote sensing calibration and in‑situ measurements. A major focus is disaster management, developing AI-driven solutions for dust storms, fires, earthquakes, and flooding. He also leads in bio‑geomatics, exploring remote sensing applications in forestry and medical imaging. Previously Faculty Vice‑Dean for Research and Head of the Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing Department, he has supervised over 30 M.Sc. and 6 Ph.D. graduates and serves as Associate Editor for Frontiers in Remote Sensing.
