This research topic is concerned with creating adaptive and sustainable health care systems that will be able to address future and present health care challenges. Sustainability in health care involves creating adaptive, innovative and environmentally friendly health care systems that will help to provide effective services to patients. The scope of sustainable health care and future health systems includes such topics as health care practices, sustainable health care services, health system sustainability and adaptation, workforce issues in health care, health care system infrastructure, innovations, digital transformation, and future health challenges. Through innovation and creation of adaptive health care practices, this research field helps to develop health care systems of the future and improve their performance.
