Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health

Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health aims to enhance the well-being and development of mothers, babies, children, and adolescents during important developmental phases. In other words, Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health is concerned about the health problems experienced by these population groups and the interventions designed to facilitate healthy living. The research within this specialty includes but is not limited to maternal health services, reproduction, infant and child health, adolescent health, nutritional needs, vaccinations, health promotion, disease prevention, and health services access. Physical, emotional, and psychosocial influences on the health of mothers, infants, children, and adolescents can be examined to promote healthy development. This field has a huge potential for creating healthier outcomes thanks to scientific inquiry and advances in medicine and healthcare practices.
