Prof. J. P. Singh is a distinguished academician, author, researcher, and mentor with nearly three decades of experience spanning higher education and industry. He is currently serving as Professor in the Department of Information Technology and MCA at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi, where he has been contributing to teaching, research, and academic development since August 2004. Prior to this, he served as a faculty member at several prestigious institutions affiliated with GGSIPU and has also been a Guest Faculty at Himachal Pradesh University.

Prof. Singh possesses an exceptional academic background with multiple postgraduate degrees and professional qualifications, including M.Phil. in Mathematics, M.Sc. (Mathematics), M.Sc. (Number Theory), M.Com., Master of Financial Management (MFM), PG Diploma in Operations Research, Diploma in Production Management, along with NPTEL Domain Specialization in Data Science and Discipline Specialization in Computer Science Engineering. His multidisciplinary education reflects his commitment to lifelong learning and academic excellence.

His teaching and research interests encompass Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Theory of Computation, Discrete Mathematics, Business Mathematics, and Mathematics for Economics. He has authored and co-authored several widely acclaimed textbooks, including Probability and Numerical Methods, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics for Undergraduates, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, and Business Mathematics. Many of these books have been prescribed or recommended by universities such as GGSIPU and other leading institutions across India.

An active researcher, Prof. Singh has published and presented research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences on topics such as Computing with DNA, Six Sigma, and Master Data Management. In recent years, his research focus has expanded to emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. He also serves as a reviewer for several prestigious international conferences and journals, contributing to the advancement of quality research in computing and allied disciplines.

Prof. Singh has earned several notable recognitions, including the NPTEL Domain Scholar in Data Science, NPTEL Discipline Star (Computer Science), NPTEL Motivated Learner, and the Bebe Nanaki Excellence in Education Award 2026. He continuously upgrades his expertise by participating in Faculty Development Programmes and Short-Term Courses organized by premier institutions such as IITs, NITs, IISc Bengaluru, NITTTRs, and MeitY-sponsored initiatives, with a special focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Quantum Computing, and Data Science.

A life member of the Indian Mathematical Society, the Ramanujan Mathematical Society, and the International Association of Engineers, Prof. J. P. Singh is dedicated to academic excellence, research innovation, and mentoring the next generation of professionals. Through his teaching, publications, and research contributions, he continues to inspire students and educators while promoting the integration of mathematics with modern computing technologies.
