Biography
Shruthi S. V. is an Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator in the Department of Computer Applications at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Mysore, is KSET qualified, and holds M.Sc. (Computer Science) and B.Ed. degrees.
With over 13+ years of academic experience, she has served in reputed institutions, including Dayananda Sagar University, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Maharani Cluster University, Bangalore University, T John College, and Government Science College. Her expertise spans curriculum design, online and blended learning, LMS management, virtual laboratories, academic leadership, project mentoring, and outcome-based education. She has also served as Bridge Course In-Charge, Virtual Labs In-Charge, Project Guidance Coordinator, BOE and BOS member, interview panel member, and mentor for student innovation initiatives.
Her teaching and research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Proctoring Systems, Educational Technology, Computer Networks, Programming Languages, DBMS, Algorithms, and Software Engineering. She has delivered courses in C, C++, Java, Python, Data Structures, AI/ML, Network Security, Operating Systems, DBMS, Theory of Computation, and related subjects.
Shruthi actively contributes to the academic community through research, publications, patents, invited talks, faculty development programmes, and international collaborations. She has authored journal papers, conference papers, book chapters, and books, including publications indexed in Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and Web of Science (ESCI). Her research primarily focuses on AI-enabled intelligent proctoring systems, computer vision, educational technologies, cybersecurity, and intelligent learning environments. She is also the inventor/co-inventor of multiple patents, including a UK Design Patent.
She has been invited as a resource person, keynote speaker, guest speaker, and presenter at national and international forums, including Morgan State University (USA), Wilfrid Laurier University and Algoma University (Canada), the VI Annual World Mega Congress (Peru), MSME programmes, and other global academic events. She has also participated in UNESCO's Global Foresight Consultation on Education Beyond 2030 as a selected expert participant.
An active contributor to scholarly publishing, Shruthi serves as a reviewer, editorial board member, section editor, and technical reviewer for numerous IEEE conferences, Springer conferences, Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals, and international publishers. Her professional recognitions include multiple teaching excellence awards, lifetime memberships in leading professional bodies, jury memberships, and academic leadership roles.
