DANIEL T. COTFAS was born in Toplita, Harghita, Romania, in 1970. He received the B.S. degree in mathematics, the M.S. degree in physics, the Ph.D. degree, and the Habilitation degree in electronic engineering, telecommunications and information technology from Transilvania University of Braşov, Romania, in 1995, 2001, 2008, and 2019, respectively. He is currently a Prof. Dr. Habil. at Transilvania University of Braşov. He is the author of 17 books and book chapters and more than 120 articles. It also holds a patent and a patent application. He was project responsible for more than 10 projects and a project team member in more than 15 projects. He is an Associate Editor of International Journal of Photoenergy and Frontiers in Energy Research and a guest editor for several other journals.

His expertise is focused on the following areas:

Renewable energy – conversion of solar energy into electricity and heat, wind energy, concentrated solar power systems.

Photovoltaic (PV) systems – modeling, characterization, optimization and extraction of parameters of photovoltaic cells and panels.

Serhii Shevchenko was born in 1961, in 1984 he graduated from the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (KhPI) with a degree in "Hydraulic Machines and Automation"). In 1990 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Development and research of new designs of gland seals for pumping equipment of nuclear power plants". He worked in the research laboratory of vibration reliability of machines of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics of the Sumy branch of KHPI (later SumDU): from 1984 to 1994 - a research associate, participated in developments in the field of aviation technology and nuclear power plants.
Since 1995, he has created and managed private enterprises of the machine-building industry of Ukraine, which were engaged in the production of pumping and compressor equipment for various industries. Since July 2020, he has been a senior researcher at the Pukhov Institute, Institute for Modelling in Power Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IPME). In June 2023, he defended his doctoral (Doctor of Technical Sciences) dissertation on the topic "Mathematical models of processes in sealing systems of centrifugal machines". Since August 2024, he has been an academician of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine (head of the Sumy regional organization). Since January 2025, he has been the scientific supervisor of the fundamental work "Creation of models, methods and means of increasing the safety and efficiency of the functioning of power pumping equipment", leading researcher. The direction of S. Shevchenko's scientific research is related to the development of methods for the theory of sealing and vibration reliability of centrifugal machines.

Wei Shi

Wei Shi is a professor of Deepwater Engineering Research Centre at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He received PhD from POSTECH in Korea and worked as an assistant professor at Konkuk University and a postdoc at NTNU in Norway. His research interests include numerical modeling of offshore renewable energy systems, wind turbine drivetrain dynamics, and ice-structure interaction for offshore wind turbines. Meanwhile, he has good experience in dynamic analysis of mechanical systems.

His main research interests include the dynamics of offshore wind turbines under complex metocean conditions. He is the PI of many projects including NSFC, Key projects from MOST, and other national and provincial projects. He published more than 70 SCI-index papers among of them 50 are first-author or corresponding authors. He has 28 Chinese patents and 8 US patents. Meanwhile, he got several first-prize and second prizes from several different academic societies. 

Fan Xu

Prof. Dr. Fan Xu is an Associate Professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), China. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from McMaster University, Canada. His research focuses on renewable energy materials, perovskite solar cells, photovoltaic technologies, energy storage materials, and advanced characterization techniques for next-generation sustainable energy systems.

Dr. Xu has extensive academic and industrial research experience in developing high-efficiency perovskite photovoltaics, perovskite–silicon tandem solar cells, wide-bandgap solar cells, and innovative materials for clean energy applications. He has led and participated in several major research projects related to solar energy technologies, battery materials, and sustainable energy solutions.

He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed research articles in internationally recognized journals, including Advanced Energy Materials, Nano Energy, Advanced Materials, Energy & Environmental Science, Joule, and Journal of Energy Chemistry. He has also contributed to patents, technical standards, and scientific advancements in photovoltaic and energy material technologies.

Dr. Xu actively contributes to the scientific community as an editorial board member and guest editor for journals related to energy materials, photovoltaics, and sustainable technologies. His expertise in renewable energy conversion, advanced materials engineering, and net-zero energy innovations supports the advancement of clean and sustainable energy research.

Omid Rahmani Seryasat

Dr. Omid Rahmani Seryasat is an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning, biomedical image processing, fault diagnosis, and intelligent systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering–Electronics, with doctoral research focused on AI-based classification of benign and malignant breast masses in mammograms.
He has authored more than 70 national and international publications, with 439+ citations, an H-index of 14, and an i10-index of 17. His research includes medical diagnosis systems, neural networks, support vector machines, pattern recognition, IoT, and fault-tolerant control.
Dr. Rahmani Seryasat has served as a university faculty member and lecturer at several institutions, contributed to multiple research projects, registered a patent for fuzzy servo valve design, authored technical books, and received awards including outstanding faculty and top researcher recognitions.

Dr. Jaideep Gupta is a distinguished Electrical Engineer, academician, and former senior officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE, 1986 Batch), with over 35 years of leadership in railway engineering, electrification, infrastructure development, and institutional administration. He retired as Additional Member (Railway Electrification), Railway Board, Government of India, after holding several key leadership positions, including Divisional Railway Manager, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Principal Chief Safety Officer, Additional General Manager, and Dean of the Indian Railways Institute of Electrical Engineering (IRIEEN). Currently, he serves as Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Bhopal, and is associated with several prestigious national and international academic institutions, contributing to engineering education, executive training, and research.

A Gold Medalist in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Dr. Gupta earned his M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, and a Ph.D. specializing in Artificial Intelligence-based predictive maintenance of railway systems. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, electrical power systems, railway electrification, renewable energy, sustainable transportation, and smart infrastructure. He has published numerous technical papers, participated in executive leadership programs at internationally renowned institutions, and received the prestigious Minister of Railways Award for Leadership & Excellence (2019). With extensive experience spanning academia, research, public service, and strategic management, Dr. Gupta continues to promote innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and excellence in engineering and higher education.

Friman Hen

Hen Friman earned his M.Sc. in 2007 and his Ph.D. in 2012 in Life Sciences from Bar-Ilan University, where his doctoral research pioneered innovative energy generation methods for degrading aromatic compounds using microbial fuel cells. He currently serves as a researcher and lecturer at the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) within the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and is the Academic Director of the Renewable Energy & Smart Grid Excellence Center. Dr. Friman is a leader in pedagogical and professional innovation, having developed the "paperless" laboratory model for experiential learning in renewable energy and designed the "Pre-Project and Soft Skills" curriculum to enhance essential engineering competencies. His multidisciplinary work bridges academia and practice through project management in both community and industrial contexts. His research interests include renewable energy, sustainability, ecology, hydrogen and microbial fuel cells, wastewater treatment, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in sustainability.

Sushil Kumar Singh

Sushil Kumar Singh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. He has completed a PostDoc at London Metropolitan University, London, United Kingdom, under the supervision of Professor Bal Virdee. He received a Ph.D. degree from Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul, South Korea, under the supervision of Professor Jong Hyuk Park. He received an M.Tech. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, India. He also received an M.E. degree in Information Technology from Karnataka State University, Mysore, India. He has also been the lab leader of the UCS Lab at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul, South Korea. He has received the Best Lab Leadership Award from UCS Lab for 2019-2021. He is selected in the Top 2% of scientists for the 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025 years as per the list compiled by Stanford University and published by Elsevier. He has more than 15 years of experience teaching in the field of computer science. He has published Ten++ Books: Computer C Programming, Cyber Security, Big Data Analytics, Mobile Computing, and Secure and Intelligent IoT-Enabled Smart Cities, among others. He attended the Erasmus+ Program as a Visiting Professor at Pitesti University, Romania, in 2024 and delivered two essential sessions to the foreign students. He attended the Erasmus+ Program as a Visiting Professor at Ludovika University of Public Services, Budapest, Hungary, in 2025 and delivered four essential sessions to the foreign students. He has also published many high-quality papers (Q1, Top 10% JCR Rank) in international journals and conferences. He has already delivered international lectures in many countries. His research interests include Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, Smart City Security, and Cyber-Physical Systems. He is an Associate/ Guest Editor in the Human-centric Computation and Information Sciences (HCIS) Journal, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (IEEE JBHI) Journal, IGI Global Publication, and Wiley Scrivener Publication.
