Aim

The Journal of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in the fields of biotechnology and genetic engineering. The journal aims to publish high-quality research that integrates biological sciences with engineering principles to address scientific, industrial, agricultural, environmental, and biomedical challenges.

By promoting interdisciplinary and applied research, the journal seeks to facilitate the translation of fundamental discoveries into practical biotechnological applications, supporting technological development, sustainability, and global scientific progress.

Scope

The scope of the journal encompasses a broad spectrum of topics related to biotechnology and genetic engineering, including but not limited to the following areas. The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, short communications, and applied studies that reflect current advances and emerging trends in biotechnology research and practice. The following areas highlight the primary focus of the journal but do not limit submissions to only these topics.

Genetic Engineering and Genome Editing

This area includes research on genetic modification and genome editing technologies such as CRISPR-Cas systems, TALENs, and zinc-finger nucleases. Studies may focus on gene function analysis, genetic manipulation strategies, and applications in microbial, plant, animal, and human systems.

Molecular Biology and Recombinant DNA Technology

The journal publishes research on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying gene expression and regulation, recombinant DNA methodologies, cloning techniques, vector development, and protein expression systems with applications across biotechnology sectors.

Synthetic Biology and Systems Biology

This section covers the design and construction of novel biological systems, including gene circuits, metabolic pathway engineering, systems-level modeling, and integration of biological components for predictable and scalable biological functions.

Microbial, Plant, and Animal Biotechnology
